The Toor Knives Admiral is a new frame-lock folder and it looks to be a good one. The knife is the result of a collaboration between Toor Knives and Sangin Instruments.

Collaboration on Toor Knives Admiral No Coincidence

Toor Knives has a reputation for making excellent fixed and folding knives in its El Cajon, CA facility. Sangin Instruments made its name making watches and tools. The connection is that Jake Servantes, CEO of Sangin Instruments, and Connor Toor, CEO of Toor Knives, served together in the Marine Corps and have been growing American businesses alongside each other since 2013.

Toor Knives Admiral by the Numbers

The Admiral measures seven inches overall with its three-inch drop-point blade of CPM 154 steel and its four-inch titanium handle, available in either carbon or stone gray colors.  It has a simple frame lock and a deep-carry pocket clip positioned for tip-up carry. As an added touch, the knife features gold anodized titanium hardware. The blade pivots on bronze phosphorous washers for smooth, one-handed opening using the bilateral thumb studs.

Suitable for Any Occasion

“My goal with this knife was to work directly with Jake and his wife Paris, and use their vast experience of bringing customers brilliance in the basics”, said Toor. “Using the highest quality CPM 154 steel and grade 5a titanium, we developed the ultimate everyday carry pocketknife, that can be utilized in almost any situation, and finished it with premium, durable materials. With the Admiral, we feel we’ve met our goal of producing a knife that can be taken out on a mission as well as comfortably sit in your pocket during a formal dinner.”

“We are very excited that our long friendship with Toor Knives has now produced a premium product, made entirely here in the USA”, said Servantes. “Paris and I worked with Connor and the team at Toor to develop a purpose-built knife that we can proudly add to our arsenal of high-quality timepieces and everyday carry gear. We set out to develop the Admiral into something adaptable and multidimensional and feel that goal has been met.”
