Following on the success of the limited-edition GM8, a knife designed to delight your inner pirate, GiantMouse has launched the Jutland, a re-purposed GM8 design. Rather than augmenting the GM line, which features costlier knives, the Jutland folder joins the more affordable ACE line. The ACE line is meant to provide GiantMouse’s growing customer base with access to high-quality Ansø/Vox designs at prices lower than those of the limited-edition GM line.

The GiantMouse Jutland

Jutland is a low-laying peninsula in Western Denmark, which separates the North and Baltic seas and borders Germany to the South. It is also the name of GiantMouse’s newest folder, designed for the outdoorsmen and hunters among us. Available in both Orange G10 and Green Canvas Micarta, the Jutland is the ultimate outdoor tool. The bright hunter orange allows for visibility when you’re out deep in the woods at dusk, and the Green Canvas Micarta provides a non-slip grip, even in wet conditions. The Jutland is available in Green Canvas Micarta with a satin-finished blade, and Orange G10 with a stonewash-finished blade. Both versions feature Elmax blade steel, ball bearing pivot and a steel liner lock.

The Elmax blade is 3.35 inches (85mm) in length, measured from tip to forward-most aspect of the frame, and 0.132-inch (3.35mm) thick. The handle is 4.8 inches (122mm) long, giving the knife an overall length of 8.15 inches (207mm). The Green Canvas Jutland weighs in at 3.9 ounces (113g), and the Orange G10 at 4.2 ounces (120g). The Jutland’s MSRP is $195.
